Step 1: Set up Your Profile

Content > Profile > About me If this is the first time you login Mahara, you should set up your personal profile first. You can add your Contact Information, Messaging and General Information and later you can select which part of your profile to display in different Mahara pages. 1. Choose Content > Profile. Add a short Introduction about yourself. When staff or students search for your name within the Mahara @ HKIEd network, this introduction will be displayed under your name. |

Your identity is created with the icon you choose. Think about which picture or image can represent you to your target audience. Content > Profile Picture. Click Choose File or Browse to upload your profile picture. Your pictures must be between 16x16 and 1024x1024 pixels in size. You may upload up to five profile icons and you can delete any icons at any point. Don't forget to add an Image Title for your profile icon before you click the upload button. Once selected, use the Upload button to add it to your collection of icons. Click the Set Default button to enable your selected image so that others will identify you in the Mahara platform.
