What will this IT e-Portfolio show?
This e-Portfolio is part of my life at the EdUHK which consists of 1) Technical Knowledge, and 2) Socio-cultural Awareness of IT e-Portfolio Checking:
1) [Technical Knowledge: Word Processing] Course work at the EdUHK
- An essay about my learning in one module about IT and its influence to the society. [for Word Processing dimension]
2) [Technical Knoweldge: Spreadsheet and Presentation Software] Teaching and learning from Field Experience
- A survey tutorial with the use of spreadsheet which I have worked out with my students in my field experience. [for Spreadsheet dimension]
- Another teaching aids I have shown to my students during my field experience. [for Presentation Software dimension]
3) [Socio-cultural Awareness] Reflective statement for Information Competency in Education (ITCE) at the EdUHK
I am glad to know ITCE is one of graduation requirements at the EdUHK. Through studying the self-directed course (i.e. Resources Supporting IT e-Portfolio Checking at https://moodle.eduhk.hk/course/view.php?id=13748) during the summer break at the end of my Year One study, I learnt the concepts of IT competency in three Socio-cultural Awareness dimensions as below:
- Ethics in IT and Relevant Hong Kong Legislations
- Information Security
- Information Literacy
The reflective statement also shows my paradigm shift in learning and teaching with technologies before and after accessing the self-learning Moodle course.
